After that I have picked up all the new cars / tracks that I want (all of them save for some car liveries).Īlso I have only not been able to play during announced server update times, never outside of that. I obviously liked it and bought the premium pack for roughly $65 by going to and picking up 10k vRP points and purchasing the Premium pack, which gets you all the current content. and have put around 40 - 60 hours on my favorites out of those, but I have driven over 650 Hours in RaceRoom.I think it's pretty OK lol. I have iRacing sub, Assetto Corsa & AC Comp, Dirt Rally, Project Cars 2 etc. I spent so many hours during the free DTM competition a year or 2 ago.
There are almost always free competitions the often are using cars and/or tracks that don't come with the FTP content. To get the most out of the free content click on the COMPETITIONS tab. I spent 70+ hours before I purchased anything.
yeah i like the fact that it shines a light on some catagories of racing that barely get any coverage in north america such as DTM or touring cars. If you do it right, you can basically buy the whole game for $50 USD when it's on sale and that seems to be more than a fair price for the huge volume of content you get - I bought the everything pack during the last sale, and have no problem with the pricing model. When it works, it's a fun game, I like the control I have of it, and it's got a huge variety, Force feedback has been great too. I would like to see the developers put in some kind of content ownership caching so that paid for content works when their servers are down for the modes you'd expect (ie practice laps) It's been really frustrating to turn on the PC on a friday night, wanting to just run some practice laps and literally every course and car you paid for is unavailable.

When Raceroom's servers are down - none of the content that you paid for works - not even offline stuff like running a practice lap. Raceroom's servers have been down maybe 6 times on me in a few week period. They bypass steam to buy content, which is fine, but. I really like the game, but still gave it a bad review for the content system.
